"Quiet Revolution"

Volokh Conspiracy posted a link and a nice description of the Quiet Revolution documentary. It's well worth watching, especially for us Chapman students who don't tend to get a lot of exposure to the left's ideology. Of course even this documentary that purports to espouse the left's ideology struggles to put its thumb on it. The only argument they can seem to drum up to support New Deal-ish social programs is "we need it, and the crusty old white sourpusses are trying to take it away." I'm certainly amenable to arguments that we need certain things if we're talking about policy. But need is not an argument you bring to the table when you are discussing the constitutionality of things.
