Illegal immigrants are suing Wendy's because the company didn't file paperwork on time that could have made them legal under a federal employer sponsorship program. The illegals' lawyer says it is "directly analog[ous]" to a surgeon leaving a scalpel inside his patient. Whaaa?

What legal claim are the illegal aliens relying upon--detrimental reliance?
Oh who knows, probably wrongful termination or some ridiculous facet of the employment laws.
Some of the real gems of the article are at the very end, talking about how this illegal alien sent all his money back to Mexico.
As if such parasitic practices was a good thing.
And: "Olivares said he was risking deportation to speak up for himself and his former co-workers." Oh, you mean risking getting caught for breaking the law and leaching off our economy for 14 years? Yeah, you're a real hero, hombre.
