Crazy litigious...
Someone asked me the other day why Congress would fail to create a private right of action for a given law. Well, this is one reason why. Sleazy lawyers get together with handicapped folks to cash in at small restaurants whose bathroom mirrors aren't conducive to our wheelchair-ridden citizens.

That story doesn't even cover all of Gunther/Mehrban scams.
Check out 2006 WL 2501518 where Gunther sued a Jack-in-the-Box for not wrapping the pipes below the sink with insulation. He was awarded $4000 for discovering that minor infraction and his lawyer was awarded attorney's fees.
Gunther also sued Tuneup Masters (2006 WL 1330342) for charging him a @1.99 for waste disposal. He alleged that they didn't really incure $1.99 in disposal costs.
They were talking about the handicapped guy (or at least one of them) that they use as bait. Apparently he is not a very sympathetic client. He has a rap sheet full of narcotics and domestic abuse violations.
I recently heard that one of my old friends was worried about how I could reconcile being a Christian and a lawyer. I was like "what? what a funny thing to say." And then you read stuff like this and you think "oh, yes, the depravity. Forgot about that for a moment."
